(The Leader-Herald/Eric Retzlaff) AMSTERDAM Who wouldnt want a free hamburger? Hordes of people showed up for Sticker Mules job fair and free burger event Saturday on Prospect Street. By about noon, more than 100 people had applied for jobs, and some 500 people had eaten hamburgers or cheeseburgers. The kids mostly had fun. Sticker Mule set aside 10,000 patties for the 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. event, said Anthony Constantino, founder and owner of the company, which makes stickers, labels and other printed materials. He said he was pleased with the turnout and applicationspeople were already arriving while setup was occurring. He said he plans to add about 50 new employees every six months to the 300 he already has. Kaylee Rhinehardt of Amsterdam successfully rides a tricycle with a little help from her son, Brennan Douglass, during Saturday's job fair and free burger event sponsored by Stickermule on Prospect Street in Amsterdam.
